Who this template is for

  • Brands buying UGC to run on their own channels and ads
  • Creators producing content for a brand to own and use, rather than posting it themselves
  • Anyone commissioning a one-off batch of photos or video for the brand to keep

What it is

A one-off content agreement where the brand owns the content outright. The creator assigns all rights in the content to the brand, so the brand can use, edit, adapt and publish it however it likes. This is different from an influencer agreement: there is no requirement for the creator to post on their own channels, and the brand gets ownership, not a licence.

What's inside

  • Full assignment of the content: the creator assigns all rights to the brand, who then owns and controls the content.
  • Working files on request: the deliverables can include raw and working files, not just the final export.
  • Moral rights consent: so the brand can edit, adapt and use the content.
  • Warranties, GST, tax and super: the creator warrants they can assign the content, plus GST treatment and tax withholding and super wording for where relevant.

How easy it is to use

  • Complete Part A with the content brief, fee and delivery details. Prompts guide each field.
  • No posting logistics to manage – this is a content supply and ownership deal.
  • Electronic signing supported; reuse for every UGC order.

Problems it may help you avoid

  • Not receiving the raw or working files you need to edit and repurpose.
  • Moral rights objections when the brand edits or reuses the content.
  • Uncertainty over whether the creator had the right to hand the content over and how the brand can use it.
  • Disputes over revisions.
